Fiona Stickland is an experienced Solicitor who qualified in 1997. Prior to joining Harris Fowler she worked at Proddow Mackay solicitors representing clients in road traffic accident cases. She has also worked for Graysons Solicitors where she was involved in various personal injury type claims.
Fiona joined Harris Fowler in 2002 and up until 2007 represented clients in a wide range of personal injury claims including public and occupiers liability, accidents at work, landlord/tenant disputes, road traffic and criminal injury compensation scheme claims. In 2007 she started working with one of the Partners of the firm, Neil Williams, mainly representing clients who had been injured in the workplace, or where there was an allegation of harm caused by an industrial disease.
In 2011 Fiona moved to work in the specialist clinical and dental negligence team who have a wealth of experience in representing clients in this complex field of law. Complaints regarding medical care are often as a result of a number of poor decisions or practices such as incorrect surgical treatment, incorrect hospital tests, delayed diagnosis by GPs, poor maternity care or failure to read x-rays and scans correctly. Other complaints include failures by medical professionals to understand the medical conditions of clients before treating them, such as Physiotherapists or Chiropractors, arising from one procedure or treatment going back over many years or mistakes made by Opticians in basic eye tests. Fiona liaises with various specialist medical experts and Barristers taking a very proactive approach in processing a claim in a professional and expedient manner.
