Tina Salvidge – Solicitor & Compliance Manager
At her previous firm Tina Salvidge worked as the Quality Care Partner and joined Harris Fowler in May 2012. She is a very experienced solicitor and registered as a Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers [APIL]. She is also an active member of the Association of Women Solicitors. The Association’s first woman solicitor, Carrie Morrison, qualified in 1923. Initially the Association of women Solicitors was known as the 1919 Club and was an informal grouping of young female articled clerks who met in the early 1920’s in vacant classrooms after lectures. 1923 is generally regarded as being the founding year of the Club. The aim of the AWS is to articulate and represent the views of women solicitors, promote women’s interests in the profession and campaign on issues important to women solicitors.
In her current role Tina’s main responsibilities are working with Neil Williams [Managing Director] on the Compliance for Legal Practice [COLP] and Compliance for Finance and Administration [COFA]. This work forms an integral part of Harris fowler’s approach towards outcomes-focused regulation where we are managing risks for the delivery of our legal services, systems and controls. Tina is an integral part of ensuring that processes are in place to enable the firm to comply with Handbook requirements on them.
As an experienced senior solicitor Tina is also heavily involved in file and casework supervision including offering advice and guidance to Fee Earners.
Tina’s feels that the most rewarding part of her role in contributing to the excellent client care that underpins the level of service that Harris Fowler strives to provide.
