Founded by Mark and Kathryn Grimes after Mark’s own diagnosis in 2015, the charity provides vital emotional support, practical guidance, and financial assistance to Island residents facing the challenges of a brain tumor diagnosis, including help with travel costs, specialist equipment, counselling, therapy, and memory-making experiences for those with a terminal prognosis.
Monthly support groups are held to offer a confidential environment where patients, carers and families can connect, share experiences, and access expert guidance.
The charity also raises contributions for wider research through partnerships with organisations like The Brain Tumor Charity and Smile4Wessex, helping improve care, early diagnosis and quality of life

Smile4Wessex is a Hampshire-based charity dedicated to supporting patients and families receiving treatment at the Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton.
The charity was established in memory of Richard Bowler, who tragically passed away at just 15 years old after suffering a subarachnoid brain haemorrhage. Since its founding, Smile4Wessex has worked tirelessly to enhance neurological care across the South of England by funding:
