Over the years Harris Fowler have supported a number of charities both nationally and locally. At Harris Fowler we carefully select the charities we work with ensuring that we support charities that matter most to the public. The range of charities we support cater for the unsung heroes and the very needy in society that would have far harder existence were it not for such charities.
Headway Brain Injury Association
Harris Fowler have been involved more locally with Headway Somerset for a number of years. Headway provides social and cognitive rehabilitation for adults with brain injuries and they also offer invaluable support and respite for their families. The staff at Harris Fowler have supported the charity in various ways, for example collecting funds by wearing hats to work and paying a fee to do so.
Harris Fowler have given further support for Headway by providing a member of staff to visit each of the Outreach centres in Bridgwater, Henton and Yeovil to give support and advice. We have supported Headway Somerset at the Taunton Flower Show. This included both financial and staff assistance at a stall which in turn collected valuable funds for the Outreach Centres in Somerset.
Rehab Group
The Rehab Group are a group of charities and commercial companies which work very hard towards making sure every person has the opportunity to achieve their potential. They work predominantly within Northern Ireland but also hand in hand with others in local communities across the UK to provide high-quality services and opportunities to people who need them. Harris Fowler have shown their continued support for the Group and their valuable work by sponsoring the Parliamentary Pancake Race organised by the Rehab Group.
ABF The Soldiers Charity
We have provided support to this worthwhile charity that supports soldiers who have simply fallen on hard times and are in need of assistance after serving their country for many years. Such support included financial support for their events calendar, the Military Wives Choir attendance at Vivary Park during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, and a charity golf day.
