Alexandra Hewitt is a solicitor and compliance lawyer at Harris Fowler, having joined in April 2026.
With over 30 years of legal experience, more than 13 of those in compliance as the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice of a large national firm, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the role.
Having spent her training and early career dealing with personal injury litigation, Alexandra then moved in to a compliance role at the same national firm. Initially dealing with file auditing and complaint handling, but as wider compliance issues became a focus for law firms and a requirement of the SRA, she was appointed as the firm’s first COLP.
Alexandra is adept at advising the business on regulatory issues, risk and its management and data protection, as well as handling client complaints and potential professional negligence matters.
She is client focused and understands the challenges faced by clients when pursuing claims.
