Sophie Cuthbertson, Chartered Legal Executive
Sophie started her career working for one of the major insurers in their Personal Injury Department. In 2003 she moved to a large national law firm in Bristol where she managed a large Personal Injury Department advising UK insurers on all aspects of personal injury claims and policy avoidance. She also handled a variety of complex multi-track cases and assisted one of the partners on matters of the highest complexity.
Sophie joined Harris Fowler in 2014 bringing with her over 20 years of knowledge and experience. Sophie is responsible for pursuing a wide range of personal injury claims on behalf of a variety of clients including accidents at work, accidents on a public footpath and accidents of someone else’s premises. Sophie has a particular interest in construction site accidents and has secured £150,000 for a client who had injured his hand as a result of such an accident.
She also manages a team of Trainee Case Handlers to provide them with training, support and guidance.
What inspired you to get into law?
Sophie wanted a career where she could make a difference so for her law was the obvious choice.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Sophie feels the most rewarding aspect of her job is being able to arrange rehabilitation and treatment for clients to help them get their lives back on track.
What do you do for fun?
Outside of work Sophie enjoys Martial Arts, photography and spending time with her family.
Sophie secured £150,000 for a client who had injured his hand in a construction site accident.
