Personal Injury Fee Earner

Position Overview

The role of our Personal Injury Fee Earner is to obtain compensation for clients who have suffered due to the negligence of others. Our Fee Earners cover a wide range of areas such as work place accidents (employer liability), public liability and motor or road traffic accidents. Caseloads can vary in volume and complexity, ranging from fast track matters to multi track matters. At Harris Fowler we put the client first therefore compassion and empathy are key talents of our Fee Earners.

 Job Description

  • To manage a caseload of approximately 100 to 150 files. Those files will be a combination of portal, fast track and multitrack
  • Pursuing claims through pre and post-litigation stages, making full use of our case management system
  • To comply with the Directors expectations of time recording and financial targets
  • To development relationships with new clients, medical experts and counsel
  • To work within a team environment to provide relevant input to cases
  • Secretarial and admin support provided

Person Specification Essential

  • Previous claimant personal injury case handling experience
  • Portal Experience
  • Knowledge of the CPR and litigation procedures
  • Initiative and dexterity of thought: cases are rarely straightforward
  • Compassion and empathy
  • A good mathematical, analytical brain
  • An ability to thrive under pressure

Desirable

  • Knowledge of case management systems
