Get To Know Emily Barr

Emily has a particular passion for clinical negligence, an area she first studied during her degree, and enjoys contributing to complex claims that help clients secure the compensation they are entitled to.

Emily’s interest in law began during her studies at Richard Huish College, before progressing to Oxford Brookes University, where she earned a 2:1 Law degree.

Following a period of work experience at Harris Fowler Solicitors, Emily has steadily developed her career within the firm. She initially joined as a Legal Claims Advisor, then progressed to Legal Secretary, and now works as a Legal Assistant in the Clinical Negligence Team, where she plays a key role in supporting clients and colleagues alike.

Emily is currently studying with CILEx to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive, or ‘CILEx Lawyer’. Emily finds it rewarding to assist clients during challenging times, helping them feel supported and informed throughout the process.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys tap dancing, going on long walks along the beach, paddle boarding, and reading. These hobbies provide balance and perspective, helping her maintain focus and energy in her professional role.
