Lizzie’s career has evolved over the years, starting with managerial roles in retail, then transitioning to become a sole trader of a small, independent business related to animal husbandry, and later working in website optimisation. While her career has been diverse and has provided her with a valuable skill set, she has never experienced the same sense of fulfilment as she does working in the legal sector.

For Lizzie, it was the age-old desire to make a difference and have a positive impact on others that led her to pursue a career in law. Her entry into the legal field wasn’t conventional – she discovered a diploma with the National Association of Licensed Paralegals, and while pursuing this, Harris Fowler offered her an opportunity as a legal claims adviser. Lizzie has been happily working in the vetting department ever since.

Law has a rich and diverse history, and it plays an active, ever-evolving role in society. Lizzie finds the concept of law setting societal boundaries with fluidity fascinating, which inspired her to pursue a career in the field.

The most rewarding aspect of Lizzie’s job is knowing that she has provided comfort to someone who has experienced something traumatic. It’s rewarding when a client expresses gratitude for feeling heard and assured that they will receive the help they need.

Outside of work, Lizzie is a great lover of the outdoors. She enjoys exploring with her dog and daughter. She also has a keen interest in natural history and is an avid football fan. Lizzie loves to travel and spend time with her friends and family.
